The books donated to the library are accessed and books in excess are separated in to various lots on the basis of subject and they are distributed freely to the public on 23 rd April every year as it happens to be ‘world book day’. This programme started in 2015 is well received by public and thousands of people visit and take away books of their choice. Except during Covid time, the programme has been going on un interruptive which is a boon to all the sections of people and in particular students and job seekers. The pubic are more than happy by this programme since they are able to secure books that are not available elsewhere. It is a great service by the library that in the last 10 years a total no.of 2 lakhs 80 thousand books were distributed. This distribution programme is also conducted in Guntur, Ongole, Eluru, Vijaya nagaram and Srikakulam areas on behalf of Library Association.
